Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works on TV and in films is well known for movies such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her showbiz career in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she reached the age of 16years old, Alexandra was able to land leading roles in several shows on television. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was both critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. They comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French historic miniseries Napoleon. Other roles she has held include being an official jury member for both the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
