Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in television and film, is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only children of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into entertainment early and began performing lead roles in various TV dramas before she turned 16. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historic war drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated films that feature women. Alexandra worked on several notable international and national projects throughout the past few years. The most notable of these include British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. Also, she was on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
